Abstract

This work presents the development of a novel stilbene-biscarbothioamide based chemosensor for the selective detection of mercury(II) ions through colorimetric and fluorescence mechanisms. The sensor demonstrates excellent selectivity and sensitivity for Hg²⁺ recognition in aqueous media.
